Stephanie returns for her fifth year as the twirling coordinator for the Bear Marching Band. A Conway native, she served as a member of the Conway High majorette line and later as a feature twirler for the University of Central Arkansas. She has received awards from several area NBTA twirling competitions and has taught many area majorette lines and summer camps. Professionally, Stephanie teaches French at Conway High School East, where she also assists with the bands, working with majorettes and running sectionals for the performing ensembles. She looks forward to another season with the BMB and hopes to continue developing young French speakers and baton twirlers in the Conway area.

Emily spent most of her childhood in Fort Smith, Arkansas and graduated from Southside in 2008. She is a senior at University of Central Arkansas and pursuing a degree in Health Education and Promotion. While at UCA, Emily has been a member of the Wind Ensemble, Clarinet Choir, and the BMB. Emily has the most experience, this being her third year, with being a student staff member. The first two years she was in charge of organizing the band and being the uniform manager. For her last season of 2011 she will just be the uniform manager.

George Mayo,

Voice of the BMB

George Mayo has been the BOOMING voice of the BMB since 2007.  A passionate supporter of the arts and athletics, George is a super fan for the BMB!!  Mr. Mayo, or “Uncle George” for our members, volunteers his time and talents to the UCA BMB every fall. He is a recovering tuba player and Bass who graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, AR.   During the week George is an representative for Westco Lighting and Tyson Chicken.  In his free time George enjoys hunting, fishing, and Boy Scout activities with his son Aamon.  His wife is Christine Donahue teaches Applied Voice at UCA.

Stefany is a senior here at University of Central Arkansas where she is pursuing a degree in History with a minor in Marketing. She grew up in Fort Smith, Arkansas and graduated from Southside High School in 2008. She is a member in the Bear Marching Band where she marched with the Color Guard from 2008-2010. She takes care of organizing the BMB for the upcoming fall and helps coordinate trips during the fall. During the Spring she assists Mr. Douglas in his day to day duties. In the Spring she plays piccolo in the Purple Rage.

Kayla is perusing a double major in Music Education and Flute Performance. Kayla is also a Drum Major for the BMB in the fall. In the Spring she plays piccolo in the Purple Rage.

Sam was born and raised here in Conway, Arkansas. Her love of music started in Elementary school and continued to grow with her involvement in the Conway Music Program. She graduated from Conway High SChool in 2009 and started at UCA in pursuit of an Instrumental Music Education Degree. This will be her third year at UCA and with the BMB. She spent one of those years as the piccolo section leader and has now become the bands logistics manager. Samantha plans on graduating in 2013 and pursue mer masters in music. She plays flute and piccolo. In the Spring she plays piccolo in the Purple Rage.

Drew is the Drum Tech for the UCA Drum line. 'Drew Morales, originally from Kansas City, graduated with a BM in Performance from Missouri State University in Springfield. While in his undergrad he had the opportunities to perform with the MSU wind ensemble, percussion ensemble, symphony orchestra, jazz band, and as an on-call musician with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra. In addition to these performance opportunities he worked with drumlines at many Springfield area high schools including Ozark, Nixa, and Republic during Fall and Winter seasons, as well as serving as a drumline instructor for the PRIDE of Missouri State during the 2008-2009 school year.'

Adam is one of our two  Graduate Assistants for the BMB. He was born and raised in Beggs, Oklahoma. He just recently moved to Conway with my his wife, Alisha. This past spring he graduated from East Central University in Ada, OK, with a Bachelor's in Music Education where he spent 5 years under the instruction of Dr. Benjamin Finley, a former graduate of UCA. He his currently pursuing my Master's in Music Performance here at UCA and am looking forward of being a part of this program.
